Solution #290

Two Hospice Life Stories

Featuring: Moments in Life - 2 episodes
Client:
National Hospice and Pallative Care Organization

The Idea:Kyle learns that his wish has been granted to go to Hawaii.

Simultaneously create two episodes of the organization's "Moments in Life" series for their website and annual meeting profiling Hospice organizations doing exempliary work in their region.

The Challenge:

Our first story, involved a man in Salem, Oregon that was in a pallative care program. Through the Dream Foundation, our subject was granted a end-of-life dream to visit Hawaii before he looses his eyesight. So, we needed to capture his story when he finds out that his wish has been granted and then, when he is experiencing his dream.

The main challenge was capturing program participants in three completely different, far-reaching areas of the country, and gathering "Day in the Life" type of coverage to fulfill our story needs.Kyle takes in the Hawaiian Surf.

The Solution:

VIDSOL has a great knack for finding and vetting compatible creative professionals. As a result, we were able to locate experienced Directors of Photography in all three locations, enuring that we would get truly cinematic imagery that would help tell our stories. Each crew brought their unique capabilities and experience to the table. We were able to get drone footage in Hawaii that brought forth the beauty of the locations, as well as great perspective of the experiences. Our client handled the scripts and narration, and we assembled the stories in our edit suite. Client was pleased at how production all worked with their travel plans and that everything fell into place.

The Result:

Two beautifully told stories, showing the unique aspects of these Hospice organizations in two different regions of the country. VIDSOL was pleased to be able to help tell very heart-warming stories and to showcase they types of human compassion and work of Hospice organizations. Our work dovetailed nicely into what Hospice had produced previously.
